Ale Hop (Alejandra Cárdenas) is a Peruvian artist who began her career in Lima's underground music scene in the 2000s.

In her live performances, she creates multi-layered and immersive soundscapes by combining a complex repertoire of electric guitar techniques with live electronics. Finely textured electronic sounds intertwine with unpredictable noise eruptions; distorted guitar sounds merge with the sound of modular synthesizers to create haunting acoustic architectures.

Her work has been presented at international festivals and institutions including UNSOUND, MUTEK, Sonic Acts, CTM Festival, Somerset House Studios, Barbican Centre, and the Museum of Arts and Design New York.

Ale Hop's releases have appeared on labels such as Nyege Nyege, Buh Records, Karlrecords and Superpang.
