Like a band that lives in a suitcase and only comes out when the moon is in the wrong position. A triangular disco ball radiates rhythms and voices that make the room vibrate like a diesel engine; smoke rises like from cigarettes at midnight. No Wave… and how.

More than just strong affection connects these two bands. Each band has played at the other’s album release party before. They’ve recorded a few songs together and released them on tape. But now, here’s their first joint double-album release.

The Grexits’ new album is called *Kalinichta* and Implosion’s is *Gerade Tage*. The motto: *Good Night, Gerade Tage*. Ouch, the 10th is also an even-numbered day. Hallelujah. What on earth is that supposed to mean? The venue: Import Export. For both bands, it’s the most beautiful harbor on our coast to anchor their rusty, dented ship.

And one thing is absolutely clear: both bands will close out the evening together and perform a handful of magnificent Rembetika Wave hits. Word is that more than one ship will be arriving. Or are they all coming alone or in pairs?
