Musical comedy by Kay Kruppa
Production: Isabell Christin Behrendt
With: Inga Jamry, Ramona Schlenker, Hermes Schmid, Stefanie Schwendy
A company outing to Legoland - that sounds like fun, sun and good humor. It's just a shame when the boss's ancient van breaks down on the A27 after just half an hour! And so the team from an advertising agency ends up stranded at the Langwedel service station - in the middle of garbage cans, highway noise and Prosecco from plastic cups...
While they wait for roadside assistance, worlds inevitably collide: Gabi, the caring "mom" of the company, who thinks of everything (and cooks for everyone); tough businesswoman Nicole, who has had enough of relationships since a failed marriage; the otherwise cheerful intern and influencer Rieke is also emotionally off track on this already exhausting day; and good-natured Harald is constantly on the move thanks to his pedometer and in constant communication with "Chatty", his AI app - but would rather open up to someone else entirely...
Between meatballs, heartache and lots of live music ("Highway to Hell", "Ein bisschen Spaß muss sein", "Your Song" and many more), the breakdown turns into a very special stopover that no one is likely to forget in a hurry - full of humor, emotion and surprises. Because one thing is certain: everything is fine in the end. And if it's not good, it's not the end!
By the way:
Following the huge success of "What a Summer!", Kay Kruppa has now tailor-made another musical comedy for our already established open-air venue at Schloss Erbhof in Thedinghausen. This time he takes the Frischluft audience to a completely unfamiliar location: at a rest stop, thanks to lovable, quirky characters and rousing songs - sung live and accompanied live by our theater band - it will probably be the most entertaining stay on the highway you've ever had!
Venue notes:
Events take place on the garden stage, to the left of the castle. The ground-level seating is on a grassy area. The audience area is not covered. Depending on the weather, we recommend bringing sunscreen, a cap and a rain jacket for bad weather. There is a drinks and snack stand on the event site. The Box Office is located at Schloss Erbhof and opens 1 hour before the event. Free parking is available directly on the castle grounds.
