Eric Steckel is back! After his successful European tour 2025 with several sold-out shows between Spain, the UK, Benelux and Germany, the blues-metal virtuoso is coming back to Europe in October for a rocking encore under the motto "Live Twenty Five".
In an era where pedalboards, laptops and samples have become commonplace, Eric Steckel swims against the tide and reminds his audience of the days when great guitars were played loudly through great amplifiers. Hailed by many as the rising star of blues and rock, Eric delivers a powerful performance that has captivated audiences in 25 countries. His performances are bursting with energy and passion - and are a real must-see for vintage guitar rock fans.
Few young guitarists can match Eric Steckel's impressive resume. He recorded his debut "A Few Degrees Warmer" live in April 2002 when he was just 11 years old. It wasn't long before he was performing at the 2003 Sarasota Blues Festival, where Eric's powerful set became the talk of the day. Before the festival was over, Eric was introduced by British blues/rock legend John Mayall as the youngest guitarist ever to take the stage with the Bluesbreakers. Eric made a lasting impression on Mayall, and in 2004 Mayall helped Eric to play a few gigs during the Bluesbreakers' Scandinavian tour. In early 2005, Eric traveled to Los Angeles where he joined Mayall for studio work on the album "Road Dogs". In the following years, Eric performed at renowned festivals and completed sold-out tours in Holland, Germany, Belgium and Italy. He opened for Johnny Winter at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, wowed audiences at the Tegelen Bluesrock Festival and shared the main stage with Gregg Allman at the legendary Pistoia Blues Festival.
During his teenage and young adult years, Eric released several critically acclaimed live and studio albums. The album "Havana" from 2006 was a hit among blues guitar lovers. The 2008 album "Feels Like Home", which features the talented Duane Trucks on drums, is reminiscent of the Southern Rock era of the 70s. Hits from this album such as "The Ghetto" and "Just Walk Away" are still played regularly today. In 2012, after years on tour, Eric went back into the studio to record the powerfully modern blues album "Dismantle The Sun". In 2015, Eric set out to record a fully transatlantic studio album with the best producers, engineers and musicians he knew. This resulted in "Black Gold" being recorded in both Nashville, Tennessee and Amsterdam. His album "Polyphonic Prayer" (2018) is his most successful and multi-faceted to date, as he recorded all the instruments himself apart from the drums. This was followed in 2020 by "Grandview Drive", which was very well received by fans and critics alike.
Thanks to his stage and studio experience of over 20 years, Eric has already delighted guitar lovers in over 25 countries with his characteristic blues-metal mix - and the number is growing all the time.
