DONAU115He is one of the outstanding young vocal talents in Germany. Erik Leuthäuser comes from a jazz background, but has now created his own world between progressive jazz and alternative pop songs. In the quartet line-up, he brings his concept work "Sucht" to the stage, which will be released on 26.04.2024 by Fun in the Church/Staatsakt.
The current songs revolve around "the topic of addiction from a queer perspective".
Erik Leuthäuser had already demonstrated that he can be unreservedly personal on his multi-colored, dazzling crossover album "Wünschen". He covered everything from a Friedrich Hollaender chanson to a self-translated Duke Ellington classic to a Dota song or his own songs such as "Kannst du mein Kangaroo sein". He performs the new "Sucht" cycle live with a piano trio. The brilliant jazz pianist Julius Windisch, jazz bassist Sofia Eftychidou and drummer Andi Haberl, member of The Notwist and the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra.
