A concert from the Young Talents series

EYRA is safe space, therapy and playground: a band that takes risks and shows vulnerability. Each concert is a unique experience between band and audience, allowing deep insights into the people involved. EYRA is not afraid of intimacy as well as strong expressivity, but enjoys the raw honesty of the moment. When DANIEL SAUER (saxophone, composition) plays on stage together with SEBASTIAN MINET (guitar), MORITZ LANGMAIER (piano), MORITZ HOLDENRIED (bass) and FELIX ECKENFELDER (drums), you can feel the friendship, trust and courage that unites the five musicians. Oscillating somewhere between jazz, rock and folk, the music of the five young musicians develops a power that delights jazz fans as well as rock fans and ravers. While some passages seem like distant reminiscences of the sound escapades of Jimi Hendrix or Grids, which could be heard in Steve Reich's minimal music, the influences of Scandinavian musicians Skúli Sverisson, Óskar Guðjónsson and the band ADHD, Christian Wallumrød and Mette Henriette are clearly noticeable. In a time of increasing dichotomy and doom scrolling, EYRA wants to invite people to experience a shared resonance that connects people and opens up discourse instead of nipping it in the bud.
