Family Open Lab – Zukunftsideen für die Demokratie

What will the democracy of the future look like? Here at the Futurium Lab, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

In this workshop, you can develop your own ideas and visions for desirable futures. What is your demand for the democracy of tomorrow? Using the laser cutter, you’ll create stencils and spray-paint templates to bring your demand into the real world. A fictional scenario explores democracy and AI applications involving facial recognition. To protect your own identity from this surveillance and facial recognition, you can design anti-facial-recognition masks and camouflage them with various patterns.

Our mentors will be on hand to help you bring your ideas to life and show you how the laser cutter works. Helpful learning materials will also be provided to support you.

The drop-in format is open-ended and differs from traditional workshops. We plan for you to spend about 20 minutes in the lab to get a first taste of the technology and this future-oriented topic. If it gets particularly crowded, not all participants may be able to try out every station. So be flexible and take the opportunity to dive into these exciting topics!
