feministische Stadttour: Frauengeschichte(n)
In the organizer's words:
Invisible and Unmissable – Stories of Women from Friedrichshain
There’s nothing to see here. No monuments, no commemorative plaques, no historic buildings. Just noisy streets, ugly squares, ordinary places of today—and in between, the stories of women who lived and worked here and of whom nothing remains.
A two-hour walking tour through Friedrichshain, from Strausberger Platz to the East Side Gallery. The women missing from the history books finally get the attention they deserve here.
I, Sheeana, will be leading the tour: I’m a historian and have called this neighborhood home for over six years—enough time to realize that these stories are missing. You can find out more about me and the tour on Instagram: @kiezchroniken.berlin or at www.kiezchroniken.de
📍 Meeting point: Strausberger Platz 12, front of the building (by the Karl Marx bust)
🕑 Duration: approx. 2 hours
🗣️ Language: German
👥 Suitable for a solo outing—if you feel uncomfortable, just let me know
