Flinta* Session: Muta

The Flinta* Session at domicil aims to create a safe space for all female musicians* who want a stage outside the predominantly cis-male-dominated jazz and session scene. Enough with the top dogs, cockfights, and alpha males—let’s finally take up some space, jam, and have fun!

The session kicks off with a Flinta*-led opening band and then opens up to all Flinta* people who are up for jamming together on jazz standards and similar music. Even inexperienced female musicians* are welcome to join—just stop by! Of course, cis men are also allowed and welcome in the audience.

This time featuring Muta:

Muta is a young international jazz ensemble with fresh ideas and a shared vision. This newly formed group brings together four young female musicians with diverse musical and personal backgrounds. What unites them is their friendship, the joy of experimenting together, and a curiosity for new sonic paths. Through their music, they aim not only to open up creative spaces but also to highlight the importance of female presence in jazz. Authentic and full of joy, they invite the audience to join them on their musical journey.
