Franzmann Stickerfest Vol.2 - Verlängerung

The Franzmann Stickerfest Vol.02 is being extended due to the high demand and number of visitors: until November 2, 2024, people interested in street art and stickers have the opportunity to visit the second Düsseldorf sticker festival "Franzmann Stickerfest" - and with a little luck win one of the exhibits on display.

Since August 30, 2024, a wide variety of street artists from all over the world have been on display in this indoor and outdoor exhibition.

Over the past three months, young visitors to the Jugendkulturcafé have worked together with street artists from the Düsseldorf scene to redesign walls and objects with stickers and paste-ups in the Jugendkulturcafé Franzmann and in the lower Rheinwerft in Düsseldorf's old town. Between Kasematten and the Apollo-Rheinwiese, a small outdoor gallery has been created with works by artists from all over the world, depicting the colorful diversity of the international street art scene in boundless collages.

In addition, artistic stickers, some of them handmade by young visitors, have been affixed to various surfaces and objects in the youth culture café. A (working!) record player, a boombox, computers, skateboards and furniture, as well as wooden gallery walls, now appear in new sticker designs. In addition, a large paste-up wall of love has been installed on the stage of the youth facility, on which countless works by well-known street artists can be discovered.

Stickers and works by internationally renowned artists such as M.Chat, Blooandtiti, Merioone, Space Invader, Kalamarinios, Ribu, Yolo Sticker, Aksit, alongside stickers by local artists such as Markant, Pdot, Kalle Swaggert, Pozt, Raw That Shit or Lemon Rope will be on display in the Franzmann youth culture café until November 2, 2024, because Düsseldorf in particular has a very lively sticker art scene. The density of local sticker artists in Düsseldorf is enormous.

For the second edition of the sticker festival, the well-known Paderborn artist Korn Fanto has donated his last two paste-ups before he retires from the public eye.

For the past month, visitors to the Franzmann Stickerfest have been wondering what will happen to the walls and objects once the exhibition is over. The youth culture café team has addressed this question and has now decided to hold a lottery for the exhibition exhibits on November 2, 2024 in an exalted finissage, which will feature musical performances on stage as well as a challenging sticker quiz in which knowledge of the corresponding sticker exhibits will be put to the test. Prizes include exclusive sticker packs and more.

From 02.11.2024, lovingly designed walls and exhibits can find a new home at the Franzmann Stickerfest finissage - until then, they can be viewed in an unusual exhibition during the regular opening hours of the youth culture café at Ratinger Straße 20.
