We are super excited to be hosting the pottery workshops by Julia Drews aka Un Caffè Ceramics! You've asked so many times, and now you can also make pottery with Julia at MachBar 🙂

Free pottery - your creative time-out in Lübeck

Do you just want to get away from it all, be in the moment and create something timeless with your hands? Working with clay slows you down and is great fun!

In a cozy group of up to 8 people, we will realize your ideas in clay together!
Julia will explain the basics of making ceramics and you will create small items such as bowls, cups, candle holders, figurines and other decorative objects... there are no limits to your creativity and I will support you in the realization.
No previous knowledge is required.

At a second appointment, after the drying phase and bisque firing, you will have the opportunity to glaze your work, i.e. we will give the rough and porous bisque a shiny, durable and, if you wish, colorful finish. After another firing, the glaze firing, you can pick up your work at MachBar Lübeck.

The course fee of €75 includes the following:

For the pottery date: 2kg of stoneware clay, tools, cutters, stamps etc. and the bisque firing.
For the glazing session: a large selection of glazes, brushes, etc. and the glaze firing.
There will also be snacks and drinks to keep the creativity flowing! My support and inspiration will be there anyway.

If a second appointment is not desired, I offer to glaze and fire your ceramics in my studio. The cost for this is 30€/person.

The workshop therefore always takes place alternately as a pottery and glazing appointment and is continuous. So if you want to continue making pottery, you also have this option in this ongoing workshop! You can start a new clay project straight after you have glazed.
