FUTURE, NOW! Die Vorstellungen von morgen
PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:
What if …? On stage, this question becomes a temporary reality. Theater is a laboratory of the future, a space of possibilities. The guided tour with curator Jan Waizenhöfer through the exhibition*Future, now!* Tomorrow’s Visionsat the German Theater Museum demonstrates how theater envisions, negotiates, and experiments with the future: from artificial bodies and the birth of the robot, through the fear of nuclear war and the question of responsibility, to the construction of one’s own city. Historical objects, theatrical productions, and media art connect visions of the future with the hopes and fears of the present. At the same time, the focus turns to digital technologies and new forms of theater. Between theatrical performance and reality, warning and utopia, perspectives on tomorrow emerge. And in the end, you are invited to take a stand and dream collectively.
The exhibition*Future, now! Visions of Tomorrow* will beon view at the German Theater Museum from October 14, 2026, through August 1, 2027.
