F.W. Murnaus FAUST (1926) mit Live-Musik von Eve Matin | MUBI FEST Berlin

To mark the release of*The Faust Bible: The Making of F.W. Murnau’s Masterpiece*by MUBI Editions, MUBI will present a special screening of*Faust*(1926) at MUBI FEST Berlin, with live musical accompaniment by Eve Matin.

Matin is a Peruvian-Persian harpist and composer with a classical background. Through expanded playing techniques and an intuitive exploration of sounds, she transforms the harp into a multifaceted, orchestral instrument.

*The Faust Bible: The Making of F.W. Murnau’s Masterpiece*brings to light an extraordinary, recently discovered historical document of film history: a visual diary chronicling the making of an outstanding silent film classic. This new book presents an impressively comprehensive reconstruction of a collection of stills, original illustrations, and behind-the-scenes glimpses that were carefully compiled by the film’s production designer in a “prop bible” on the set of*Faust*(1926).
