Giant Crow + Silverships

In the organizer's words:

Double release from two Hamburg bands in one evening. Silverships and Giant Crow invite you to celebrate the release of their new records 'Kingdom of Decay' (EP/Tonzonen) and 'In the Cut' (LP/cosirecords schallplatten) together. Two bands whose members have long accompanied and inspired each other on their musical paths; now finally together on stage. Two bands whose versatile sounds, between creaking desert rock, fluid psychedelic and transcendental alternative country, complement each other to create a perfect dramaturgy and promise a brilliant live musical experience.

#EnjoyYourLocalScene

Giant Crow is a rock band from Hamburg (Germany). Their versatile and multi-layered music blends a wide variety of influences from alternative country, indie, post-punk and neo-psychedelic. Unusual sounds and arrangements meet catchy melodies and strong hooklines, held together by the memorable voice of singer and banjo player Nikolas Kuhl, whose lyrical, sometimes mystical lyrics oscillate between apocalyptic spirituality and ironic refraction. The musicians' unbridled joy of playing rubs off on the audience; whether they are floating away to the electronically charged post-rock finale of City Lights, shaking their hair to Hands or can't keep their feet still during the country shuffle banger Anthem. For fans of: 16 Horsepower, Wovenhand, Emma Ruth Rundle, Manchester Orchestra, Dry the River, To Kill A King, Bear's Den, Lucy Kruger & the Lost Boys, Nick Cave. The new album 'In the Cut' was released on September 13th on cosirecords.

Silverships fly through the entire universe of psychedelic rock music. The trio from Hamburg fuses early 2000s desert rock with spherical 60s space rock, 70s hard rock and 90s stoner rock. The focus is on the songs with catchy melodies and sophisticated arrangements. There are also sprawling riff orgies, surprisingly poppy passages and quieter moments. Somewhere between Queens Of The Stone Age, Pink Floyd, Grand Funk Railroad, The Doors and Tame Impala. The first EP "Kingdom of Decay" will be released on Tonzonen Records in November.
