GIER tells of us humans in contradictory times and of the fragility of freedom in the Weimar Republic of the early 1920s. The play makes us relive the beginnings of Germany's first parliamentary democracy in the years 1919-1923 with all its turmoil.
It makes us feel how people dream, hope and act in times of rapid change.
