Which brick castle has three sides, sounds like a thunderstorm and has never seen a knight?

Donnerburg15, whose outer façade nestles almost inconspicuously into the long curve of the main road, used to be Hofstelle 16. In 1933, the farm was given a new residential building. Between 1893 and 1897, the owner gave the farm a new barn, a new stable, a new gate and a monument to himself. These are the buildings we see today.

And even earlier? In 1761 there were 10 apple trees, 7 pear trees, 45 plum trees and 350 willows in the garden. In 1709, the barn collapsed and a musketeer left the farm. In 1702 a scandal shook the farm, and from 1618 to 1648 the Thirty Years' War. In 1520 the farm had 1 hoof of land and no hoof of horse.

In the cells of the farm, the red bricks, stories buzz, slumber and hide. A confidant holds on to them, awakens them, tracks them down, listens to them. He lets the attic whisper stories into his ear, walls whisper of summers in which the smell of hay and cheese drifted through the gates, doors shriek of harsh winters, beams grumble from creaking under heavy loads and rattle about the secret life in the cracks, the fibers, between the bricks. The familiar collects traces and memories and transforms them. In words, light, sound and movement.
