The alarming numbers of feminicides and gender-based violence in Germany - as well as worldwide - highlight the immense, and for some vital, need for public spaces for exchange and discussion such as the Hamburg Congress against Feminicide and Gender-based Violence. As a society, we must take on more responsibility together. This includes making the connection between "everyday" gender-based violence and lethal violence in order to work together towards a future worth living - a future without fear, threats and violence.

With this congress, we want to send a clear signal: (lethal) violence must finally end. We do not look away, but stand - as those directly or indirectly affected by the patriarchal system and as supporters - in solidarity with those affected and would like to jointly call for and motivate them to take action.

The congress against feminicide and gender-based violence will take place from November 21 to 23, 2025 - the weekend before the International Day against Violence against Women* (25.11.) - on the premises of the University of Hamburg and the W3 Cultural and Information Center in Altona.
