Härte gegen Punk, Zonic Radio Show live: Warschauer Punk Pakt revisited

In 2017, the project "Warschauer Punk Pakt" presented the punk underground of the Eastern Bloc, which was followed by a book of the same name as a Zonic special published by Ventil Verlag and a special EP on Major Label. "Härte gegen Punk" now brings together several authors of the book for the final roundtable on October 12, who are also invited to present their specific perspectives on the respective scene in a live radio show the evening before.

On the one hand, the Budapest journalist and author Tamás Szőnyei, who was the first to write about punk in 1978 and accompanied the scene, among other things as a collector of concert posters, but later also wrote standard works on pop culture, literature and state security, will be present. On the other hand, on the Czechoslovakian side, or, as his book contribution was, primarily Slovakian, Miroslav Michela is an expert who is anchored in the subculture. Pavla Jonssonova is also a co-founder of Plyn, the first all-female (post-) punk band behind the Iron Curtain, which became active in 1980, later changed its name to Dybbuk and is still active today as Zuby Nehty. Their feminist-based female perspective will throw an extra note of "Eastern Bloc Riot Grrrl" energy into the show.
