The film opens with an amateurish break-in at a store in an upscale neighborhood of Tehran. Then the film rewinds, and we see the day before: Hussein works as a pizza delivery driver and, on the side, steals the occasional handbag with his friend and future brother-in-law. His job leads to numerous, often absurd encounters.

"heimkino." is a project in collaboration with Flugmodus GmbH, created to provide a home for the community of film and cinema lovers in the trendy Ehrenfeld neighborhood. As part of this new series, we’re bringing classic films and lesser-known masterpieces back to the big screen every Wednesday. Each month is dedicated to a common overarching theme. Through this, we aim to offer the audience different cinematic perspectives on the same topic, find answers together, and ask new questions. We look forward to seeing you!
