Sophie falls in love with the wizard Howl and is turned into an old woman by a witch. She sets off in search of Howl to reverse the curse. When she finds Howl's home, the walking castle, she works there as a cleaner. A fire devil guarding the house and Howl's assistant Markl soon become her friends. But Howl pays her no attention and lives carefree and self-absorbed into the day.

As part of this new series, we are bringing classic films and unknown masterpieces back to the big screen every Wednesday. One month is always dedicated to a common overarching theme.
