Trailer German Sign Language A seemingly empty room with a seemingly empty monument base. First they start painting, playing and touching. But then, by order of the general, the room is divided and no one is allowed on the other side: "From now on and forever, I am the one in charge!" That's how it's decided and that's how the overseer carries it out. Until the crowd - or a ball? - begins to act differently. Dance, puppetry and live music create a theatrical spectacle in which the audience themselves become characters and take the course of the story into their own hands with costumes and props. Who's in charge at the end? The picture book "Nobody gets through here!", directed by Carlos Manuel, takes to the stage at the Junge NTM and shakes up the rules and duties that often determine children's everyday lives. Together with the ensemble and a multi-instrumentalist as a one-man band, a theatrical spectacle about freedom and boundaries is created for everyone aged five and over. "Hier kommt keiner durch!" was awarded the German Youth Literature Prize in 2017. Carlos Manuel was born in 1968 in Luanda, Angola, grew up in Brazil and now lives as a director in Berlin. He staged "The Conference of the Birds" at the Junges Nationaltheater in the 2017.18 season. Plain language An open picture book. The left page is full of people. The right page is white. We're changing it into a play with live music. The audience can join in and move freely around the room. It's about boundaries and freedom. A play for children and adults. Carlos Manuel developed the play with a musician, an actress and an actor. The picture book won the 2017 Youth Literature Prize. English No one can pass here! - You cannot pass! What is the matter? An open story book. The left page is colorful. The right page is white. By order of the general no one has access to the right-hand page of the book. This page is reserved to the general, meanwhile the left-hand page is filling up. Although the requests to join the left page are getting higher, it stays white - until ... At Junges NTM the story book "Hier kommt keiner durch" directed by Carlos Manuel will be on stage and is questioning rules and obligations, which are determining children's everyday life. In cooperation with our ensemble and a multi-instrumentalist, in function of a one-man band, a theatrical spectacle about freedom and limits is given life. The theater play can be seen from the age of 5 years up. "Hier kommt keiner durch" has been honoured with the prestigious Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis. Carlos Manuel was born in Luanda, Angola in 1968, he grew up in Brazil and is now living and working as a director in Berlin.
