„Hier lebe ich, hier wähle ich!“ Symbolwahl in Berlin-Mitte
In the organizer's words:
In Berlin, voters can cast their ballots for the House of Representatives and the District Assembly on September 20.
34% of the people in Berlin-Mitte are excluded from these elections, even though political decisions directly affect their lives.
The Symbolic Election is a campaign that allows people without the right to vote to cast a symbolic ballot. The slogan is: “I live here, I vote here!”
Through the Symbolic Election campaign, we’re showing that everyone living in Berlin should be able to vote and have a say!
The results of the Symbolic Election show what people in Berlin want from politics.
Our Symbolic Election polling station at the Philipp Schaeffer Library will be open from August 31 to September 11, 2026, during our regular hours (Mon–Fri 10 a.m.–7:30 p.m., Sat 10 a.m.–2 p.m.)
