Hola Frida tells the story of the childhood of a very special girl: the world-famous painter Frida Kahlo. Cheerful, colorful and full of good humor, this animated film tells of Frida's way of dealing with strokes of fate, her infinite imagination and the magic of art.
Her home is Coyoacán in Mexico - a vibrant place full of color, music and magic. Frida is curious, courageous and full of energy. She observes, discovers, dreams - and when life throws difficulties in her way, she meets them with imagination and creativity. This little girl's name is Frida Kahlo - and her extraordinary view of the world makes her one of the greatest artists of all time.
