Gorilla™ - the impresario competition

"Banana or punishment?" - At Gorilla Theater™, the glitter and glory of the impresarios are in the hands of the audience! First performed in 1992 at the legendary Loose Moose Theatre Calgary, Gorilla™ is one of the most well-known formats in the improv world. Impro Stuttgart brings this competition of improv directors to the Merlin. Full of blind faith, the actors put themselves in the hands of the director and play their hearts out. The director gives everything to bring out the never-before-seen and lead the story to fame and glory in order to shine before the critical eyes of the audience. But this bold undertaking can also go wrong: In the end, the audience decides whether a disgraced director has to suffer a "punishment" or snatch one of the coveted bananas.
