Just in time for the line-up reveal: multi-layered duo dialog in the nave

Jazzfest Bonn Intro kicks off advance sales for the 2026 festival season. Just in time for the announcement of the new line-up, artistic director and saxophonist Peter Materna meets world-class guitarist Wolfgang Muthspiel. The subtle sound poet has been one of the top international jazz guitarists for decades.

In May 2025, Muthspiel captivated the Jazzfest Bonn audience with a solo evening, and in 2026 he will return to the program with his Chamber Trio. Together with Materna, he will play his own compositions and personal favorite standards - carried by the impressive acoustics of the cathedral basilica. An intense musical experience and an exclusive preview of the upcoming program.
