Named after their common place of study, the four members of the Jerusalem Quartet are distinguished by their passion and precision, but above all by an unusual warmth of sound, even though their instruments date back three centuries.

Restraint? Not on stage. The Jerusalem Quartet is regularly celebrated for never being satisfied with partial success. In music, it seeks the maximum possible answers to broad questions. Driven by energy and curiosity, the four string players also like to open up entire cycles of works. And no matter which epoch they are traveling through: It is not for nothing that this ensemble is a welcome regular in all the world's major concert halls, fortunately also in Cologne.
