because after more than five years, Joel Havea is back—in Germany, his adopted home—on tour and will be playing a concert here.

Joel Havea is a true all-around talent. A skilled songwriter, authentic singer, great guitarist, and captivating performer, whose songs are shaped by diverse musical and cultural influences. His sound is carried by his powerful soulful voice: warm, soulful, and with a rich, distinctive tone. Born in Tonga and raised in Melbourne, Joel became part of the vibrant, diverse music scene in Australia’s cultural capital at an early age. His roots are reflected in his lighthearted and carefree approach to making music. His style is highly versatile and draws inspiration from a wide variety of musical genres—South Pacific soul and pop, roots, and reggae—combined with the laid-back vibe and sunny atmosphere of his two homelands.

Joel is accompanied by Leo Lazar on drums and Arnd Geise on bass. The two form a rhythmic foundation that gives Joel’s music an unmistakable dynamic energy. The chemistry between the three is unmistakable, and together they give the songs both a unique sonic diversity and a cohesive sound.
