Jüdisches Hannover, jüdisches Leipzig: Villa Seligmann trifft Ariowitsch-Haus
In the organizer's words:
To mark European Day of Jewish Culture on September 6, Villa Seligmann (Hanover) and the Ariowitsch House (Leipzig) will showcase their work and offer insights into both institutions: stories, ideas, and current activities will be compared and contrasted. Building on their commonalities, new perspectives on Jewish life today in both cities will emerge. Hanover and Leipzig have been sister cities since 1987.
There will be a panel discussion featuring:
- Katrin Ikhilman (Board Member of the Jewish Religious Community of Leipzig) + Moderator
- Eliah Sakakushev-von Bismarck (Executive Director of Villa Seligmann in Hanover)
- Gisela Kallenbach (Chair of the Synagogue and Community Center Leipzig Association)
- Dr. Raja-Léon Lange (Head of the Education Department at the Ariowitsch-Haus e. V.)
- Julia Keinbrecht (Event Manager at the Ariowitsch-Haus e. V.)
This will be followed by a concert by the Delyria Trio from Hanover:
- David Strongin – violin
- Uriah Tutter – cello
- Daniel Borovitzky – piano
To round off the evening, the Ariowitsch House invites all guests to a cozy get-together with refreshments
