Jugend ohne Gott
In the organizer's words:
Hans Jürgen Stockerl Reads
Youth Without God
by Ödon von Horvath
In *Youth Without God*, Horvath depicts the dangers of a
fascist state and its harmful effects
on young people.
Using the example of a teacher, he illustrates how an individual in a
dictatorship is condemned for freely expressing their opinions.
The novel was banned by the Nazis in 1938
in 1938 because of its “pacifist tendencies” and placed on the
"List of Harmful and Undesirable Literature."
