In the organizer's words:
Jule writes German-language songs that fall somewhere between indie, emo, and punk. They aren’t
clearly separated from one another—more like how emotions aren’t clearly
from one another. Sadness can be angry. Anger can be sad. And
a pretty crappy day can turn into a pretty good song.
The new single “Sarg” (release date: September 16, 2026) tells the story of a relationship caught between closeness,
distance, and endless waiting. It’s about trying to understand everything,
be considerate, and in the process, bend yourself further and further out of shape.
The song leaves an unusual amount of space for this: expansive instrumental passages meet
with lyrics that keep circling back to the same question. At the same time,
it’s the first song by jule featuring the full band lineup—and thus a song in which
all the instruments are deliberately given their own space.
From plenty of space, plenty of music, and lyrics about something that never really
becomes tangible, a song has emerged that’s just as hard to pin down
as the situation it describes.
Following “Im Regio weinen” (EP, 2024) and the album “es ist nie zu spät für frühstück”
(album, 2025), jule is now embarking on her first solo tour with a full band
tour. “Bis zur Erschöpfung” is less of a promise than
a description of the current state of affairs.
