In their small village in southern France, Jordan and Patrick are bored out of their minds. The two 14-year-olds escape the rural wasteland through the video game “Call of Duty,” but then Jessica—their beloved PlayStation 4—unexpectedly breaks down. To afford a new console, the teenagers hatch a devious plan: Jordan pretends to have cancer and, with a shaved head, launches an online fundraising campaign.

Their initial doubts are quickly dispelled by the steadily growing donations and their rising popularity at school. The former outcasts suddenly enjoy unexpected attention and unhoped-for privileges, which bring them new friends, long-awaited party invitations, and plenty of money. While Jordan is able to skip school, Patrick gets closer to the hottest girl in school. Some of their classmates even shave their heads out of solidarity and form an “Anti-Hair Alliance” that’s entirely at Jordan and Patrick’s service!
