"We play space rock and write about alienation in the 21st century." This is how the British band junodream aptly describe their own art. Ever since they formed in 2018, the quartet's music has sounded like a supernatural parallel universe in which the clocks tick a little slower and life feels just that little bit more magical. Even if the lyrics of the artistic songs deal with the here and now - and above all the difficulties involved - the sound often sounds more like a leap into the past. Artists such as Pink Floyd, Air or Spiritualized have shaped junodream's spherical, psychedelic overall sound, which sounds so timeless and otherworldly that it is the perfect soundtrack to escape reality for a brief moment.

junodream had already released two EPs in this style before finally releasing their debut album "Pools of Color" last year, which was well received by fans and critics alike. Dreamy guitar melodies form the basis of the sound framework, in which the reflective, introspective lyrics of singer Ed Vyvyan are perfectly embedded. Together with guitarists Dougal Gray and Tom Rea as well as drummer Jake Gidley, a band has emerged whose impressive, artistic aesthetic is reflected in all aspects of their work and, not least, whose lyrics captivate and challenge listeners in equal measure. An exciting contrast that turns the Londoners' conceptual live shows into very special events. junodream are currently on tour with Wunderhorse before they finally come to Berlin for a headline show in November.
