Kadavar - "I Just Want To Be A Sound"

With their seventh studio album, Kadavar radically break with convention: I Just Want To Be A Sound is a manifesto for freedom, change and radical presence. Without concepts, without boundaries - just music.

For the first time as a four-piece, with guitarist Jascha Kreft (Odd Couple) and producer Max Rieger (Die Nerven), the Berlin band has created a work that is constantly reinventing itself: Rock anthem, ballad, pop song - all in flux, full of energy and lightness.

The title is based on a quote from bassist Simon 'Dragon' Bouteloup: "I just want to be a sound." A sentence that became an attitude - to be uncompromisingly absorbed in the sound, beyond image or staging.

Tracks like Sunday Mornings capture the feeling of Berlin nights - love, regret, transience - while the album as a whole acts as a ritual transition: constantly in motion, constantly in the now.

Kadavar provide the soundtrack for a world in transition - not for escape, but for confrontation. I Just Want To Be A Sound is a declaration of love to the now - raw, intense, transformative.
