KINO ASYL is a festival with films from the home countries of young refugees living in Munich. The festival is organized by curators with refugee experience and supported by experts from the fields of culture and media.

For many, KINO ASYL is now a fixed date in the annual calendar, for others it is a new discovery. From November 22 to 28, 2025, young people with refugee experience will present films from their home countries for the eleventh time in Munich. Documentaries, dramas and short films from all over the world will be shown. The topics are sometimes informative, sometimes entertaining, but always personally meaningful for the curators who selected them. This combination of film and individual perspective opens up new insights for the audience.
