In the organizer's words:
England in 1968: Female Ford workers in a London suburb sew car seat covers—and are paid far less than their male colleagues. Since the factory floor is unbearably hot and stuffy in the summer, they often work in just their underwear. When their wages are then threatened with cuts, they’ve had enough and decide to go on strike. Rita O’Grady, a married mother, takes the lead. The courageous women face fierce resistance. The strikers have only one option left: to seek support from politicians. Ultimately, their commitment leads to success, as their struggle culminates in the “Equal Pay Act” of 1970.
