Kinusaiga Workshop – Japanisches Stoffbild

In this workshop, you’ll learn about Kinusaiga—a traditional Japanese craft and visual art form that uses fabric scraps to create mosaic images without any sewing. 

You’ll create your own 13x18 cm artwork featuring a motif of your choice. First, you’ll score your motif into a foam board using a scalpel. Then, you’ll press the various fabric pieces edge-to-edge into the lines until your own little work of art takes shape.

Finally, you’ll choose a matching frame—you can select from black, wood, or white—and your artwork will be ready, framed and all.
