Klezmer with friends im Gohliser Schlösschen - Tantshoyz

In the organizer's words:

Tantshoyz - dance evening with dance master Sayumi Yoshida and live klezmer music

The German-Japanese Tantsmayster Sayumi Yoshida is once again a guest at "Klezmer with friends". In the beautiful ambience of the Gohliser Schlösschen, traditional klezmer dances will be explained and performed together under her guidance. Guaranteed: Great dancing, good live music and a good mood.

Born in Japan, Sayumi Yoshida has lived and worked as a freelance graphic designer in Berlin since 1987. She first came into contact with Yiddish dance in 1989 through Michael Alpert and Brave Old World. She then deepened her knowledge in numerous workshops with Zev Feldman, Sue Foy, Eric Bendix, Steven Weintraub and Andreas Schmitges, among others.
Yoshida regularly gives dance workshops in Japan at Osaka University and at the Japanese-Jewish Friendship and Study Society in Kobe. In addition to Yiddish dance, her second great passion is the traditional southern Italian tarantella. Since 2006 she has been a member of the Berlin dance ensemble "TarantaScalza", with whom she performs at many festivals.
