KLIMASTRÖME - A Festival of the Senses on and by the Water

KLIMASTRÖME transforms the MS Stubnitz and HafenCity into a vibrant space of the future: Through workshops, installations, performances, and culinary experiences, we explore questions of food, climate, and global interconnections together with female artists. On Saturday, an open pottery workshop, research stations, exhibitions, and the immersive game “Playing Food!” lead up to a special highlight: the opening dinner “We Eat from the Floating Garden of the Future” with Ackerperlen e.V., accompanied by live cooking sessions led by young chefs and futurists together with artist Salah Zater. In the evening, we’ll enjoy the musical reading “At the Water’s Edge” and a spoken-word performance by the Ovaherero poet Prinz Kamaazengi Marenga. Sunday is dedicated to a decolonial exploration of food, history, and responsibility—featuring installations, walks, fashion, and the closing culinary lunch “Sweet and Sour.” A festival that connects the senses and collectively envisions a climate-just future.
