Ruhr emerges from the merging sounds of the cityscapes of Verona and Berlin, combining the raw, analog synthesizer tones of early minimal noise with the relentless rhythms of early EBM. This project serves as a meditation on contrasts, where minimalist aesthetics meet harsh, contrasting imagery and passionate lyrics interweave Dadaist and political themes. Ruhr forms a realm in which sound becomes a powerful form of expression and resistance, evoking a vision of sensuality with industrial resonance - a rhythmic pulse of rebellion and social upheaval. The repetitive structures of their music evoke a primal dance that resonates with the spirit of unrest and the desire for change.

Shocked Volk is a solo project from Helsinki, founded in 2024 by a member of Aus Tears.
Through the use of synthesizers and drum machines, Shocked Volk combines cold electronic sounds with post-punk, creating an atmosphere that reflects the brutality, fear and senselessness of war.
In April 2025, the debut album "War/Alarm!" was released on cassette and contains 8 songs.
In fall 2025 Shocked Volk will release 3 unreleased songs on a split maxi EP with RUHR, just before the tour through Sweden and Central Europe starts.
