At the invitation of the Berliner Philharmoniker
Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra has been touring Europe as a musical ambassador for its country. Founded in 1979, it is now one of the top orchestras in Eastern Europe thanks to the passion, expressiveness and playing quality of its members. It has been sponsored by the Berliner Philharmoniker since 2023 and regularly surprises audiences with unusual programs in the Philharmonie. Works by Ukrainian composers in particular offer exciting listening experiences. This season, Christian Blex is conducting the orchestra.
