In the heat of the Peruvian jungle, a group of young people gather in the Rodríguez family home for an event that will change the history of Latin American music: the birth of Los Mirlos and Amazonian cumbia.
Based on extensive audiovisual archive material, ranging from the first performances at local parties in the 1960s to the most recent and successful tours in Europe, LA DANZA DE LOS MIRLOS tells the story of one of the genre's pioneering bands and traces the genealogy of tropical and popular music of an entire continent.
