When the Competition Takes Center Stage

For two days, Dortmund will be all about choral singing as choirs and vocal ensembles from all over North Rhine-Westphalia showcase the diversity of choral music today in the competition rounds of the NRW State Choral Competition. From classical choral repertoire to contemporary works, jazz, and pop—there’s something for everyone.

On Saturday and Sunday evenings, this diversity takescenter stage at the Konzerthaus Dortmund, where selected choirs that particularly impressed the judges will perform at the prize-winners’ concerts. The award-winning ensembles will once again demonstrate what singing together can achieve—with diverse voices, programs, and forms of musical expression.
