In the organizer's words:
Slow Club Freiburg presents:
LAUDARE + REFAIM
LAUDARE
Laudare stands for poetry—in both lyrics and composition. Somewhere between post-rock,
progressive rock, metal, neoclassical, and folk, this quartet—comprising three voices, guitar, bass, drums, and cello—blazes its own trail off the beaten path. Here, melody nestles against melody, upon melody, and within melody. Sometimes breathed out tenderly and fragile, then again expansive and powerful—and always with that bittersweet melancholy at its heart that touches us as deeply as it hurts, allowing us to feel our lightest and darkest sides at the same time.
REFAIM
The coming together of Refaim’s four members creates a multifaceted musical tapestry born from the fusion of different worlds and influences: German krautrock and music from the East, the pulsating spirit of free-flowing, Grateful Dead-inspired psychedelic rock, a
direct and minimalist groove with punk energy, as well as delicate layers of sound and light. Together, they create a live experience that moves between experimental realms and hypnotic, deeply emotional moments.
