Le Cri du Caire (Egypt, France)

The circular breathing of Peter Corser's saxophone, the "baroque" strings of Karsten Hochapfel's cello and the musical flights of Erik Truffaz's trumpet are answered by the poignant voice of Abdullah Miniawy, a young Egyptian poet and singer who longs for freedom and justice. His Sufi singing, whispered or shouted out loud, accompanied by hypnotic electronic loops, transports the audience into a mystical trance. Spirituality and freedom permeate his music, which carries the hopes of the oppressed who are confronted with political, social and religious oppression. Halfway between rock, Sufi poetry, jazz, spoken word and oriental embellishments, Le Cri du Caire creates an intense metaphorical universe that transcends identities and borders.

Sofiane Saidi (Algeria, France)

Sofiane Saidi, the "Prince of Raï 2.0", Algerian pop singer and inventor of oriental glam. In his multi-faceted musical history, he combines analog synthesizers with traditional Algerian sounds to create a fresh interpretation of the classic Raï of the 80s.

Born in the Algerian Rai heartland of Sidi bel Abbes, Saidi moved to Paris in the 90s. Here he began to move through different musical worlds, from his 1996 debut with Senegalese hip-hoppers Tukuleur to collaborations with Acid Arab, Natacha Atlas and Smadj, as well as Raï pioneers Raina Rai, before releasing his own album El Morjane in 2015. A brilliant electro-Raï blend, bringing his roots full circle to create "Rai 2.0 for the third millennium". His solo live shows are an experience, a subversive exploration and erotic transgression, the Raï soul in an electronic body. One of the greatest Algerian voices.

Edna Martinez (Colombian Caribbean, Berlin)

Edna Martinez is an artist from the Colombian Caribbean whose work as a DJ goes beyond curating and is characterized by her ability to combine a wide range of African, Caribbean and Arabic genres. In Berlin, Martinez runs iconic regular events such as "Latinarab" and "El Volcan", the first and only Picó Sound System party in Germany. She also hosts monthly shows on Radio Alhara and NTS. Martinez is actively involved in cultural discourse and presents her work in galleries, museums and academic institutions.

Chedi Bakkari (Tunisia, MUC)

Chedi is an enthusiastic dancer, house DJ and bartender at Import Export. Born and raised in Tunisia, he was surrounded by multicultural and diverse music. He is a fan of North African Folk, Funk and Afro and will be playing his favorite music.
