Leipzig per Rad entdecken: Heimat & Landschaft - Industriekultur trifft Landschaftskultur - Radtour zu Landschaftsbaustellen im Leipziger Südraum
In the organizer's words:
Through this bike tour to sites of industrial heritage and landscape construction projects in the region, we aim to accompany the upcoming phase-out of coal in the Central German Mining Region and stimulate discussion. We make landscapes more accessible and highlight their qualities as they transition from mining to recreational use. In doing so, we connect sites of industrial heritage with newly created or existing cultural landscapes and ask: What kind of landscape do we want to live in?
Planned stops: Großpösna, Belgershain, Oelzschau, Dreiskau-Muckern, Rötha, Böhlen, the Mining Technology Park in Espenhain, Markkleeberg, and the Plagwitz Community Station.
Tour details: approx. 60 km. A picnic or stop for refreshments is planned. The tour ends at the Plagwitz Community Station.
