Lilli Belle & Urbannino [LIVE] (20 Jahre Kulturhaus 73)

PICK OF THE DAY

You cannot miss this event.

In the organizer's words:

Lilli Belle (7:30–8:30 p.m.) sings about losing her mind, coming back to herself, and giving herself over completely. Her songs sweep you off your feet and catch you again. The artist dares to break free, to lose her mind, and to give her emotions—whether quiet or loud—room to breathe. The layered vocals and harmonies—which Lilli Belle learned during her long time in the choir—have become the hallmark of her sound. They flow against one another, toward one another, hand in hand—just like in love. Lilli Belle blends many different genres and, with that and her dark voice, brings her own unique sound to the German music scene. Inspired by Beach House, the Cocteau Twins, and fellow musicians like Nils Keppel and Fiese Luise, she sings about love, friendship, pain, and healing.

Urbannino (9–10 p.m.) is a creature driven by whim. When it comes to genre, this Berlin resident simply does whatever he feels like at the moment. He always follows his instincts, with just the right touch of punk. If you had to pin it down, you’d find him somewhere between NDW, Atzen rap, and punk… but who really cares? The best way to experience Urbannino live is with his band, consisting of: FFAK (drums), Schmidti (bass), and Diamando (electric guitar), with Urbannino himself on vocals. An Urbannino show is like a cigarette break at work—just awesome. There’s no cringe, just plenty of potential to shake your booty and jump to heights you never knew you could reach. Enough rambling… you should just listen to Urbannino, experience him, and: Anyone who drinks is stupid…
