Are you a passionate reader and love to immerse yourself in exciting stories? Or are you looking for a cool activity where you can take a break from gadgets? Then literary karaoke at Kultur & Gut is just the thing for you!
At literary karaoke, stories written especially for reading aloud together are read aloud role by role. The so-called role novellas. You don't need any preparation or special skills. All you have to do is read the text from the page - the rest happens by itself: You immerse yourself in the plot and experience the adventures of the main characters.
The premiere of this new format will take place at Kultur & Gut on November 16. The readings will be role-playing novellas by Hamburg author Andreas Schalay. If you love exciting stories and want to spend a cool time reading together without gadgets, then don't miss the literary karaoke at Kultur & Gut! You've never experienced anything like it, I promise!
Description:
Literary karaoke works like this:
For each story, four to six readers are selected from the audience. The texts, in which the corresponding reading passages are color-coded, are distributed among the participants. The readers then only have to follow the plot and read the marked reading passages in roles. After a short time, the participants will feel how the story draws them in and how they become part of the plot. And for the audience, this is a radio play as a live performance.
A reading session lasts about 15 to 30 minutes. There is then a short break. Afterwards, further readers are selected from the audience for a new story.
The texts are thematically aimed at adults and cover all genres, from modern prose to science fiction.
On a literary karaoke evening, two to three novellas are usually read aloud.
