LOFTWERK & FRIENDS: URBAN SKETCH LAB
In the organizer's words:
LOFTWERK & FRIENDS: URBAN SKETCH LAB
observe - create - learn
Draw. Experience. See differently.
How much does a drawing actually need to capture a place?
In Urban Sketch Lab 01, we’ll explore the theme of “Contour and Space” and discover how we can relate lines, shapes, and space to one another. It’s less about creating a perfect representation and more about your own perspective and your very personal way of drawing.
No prior experience is necessary. Curiosity and a desire to draw are all you need. And those who’ve been participating for a while will gain new inspiration to further develop their own visual language.
Drawing supplies are included—but you’re welcome to bring your own favorite materials, of course.
We’re really looking forward to seeing you!

“For me, what makes urban sketching special is that, even years later, I can use my drawings to recall the feelings and impressions of a place. For me, it’s a way to train my perception—regardless of whether the drawing is a direct representation.”

“What excites me about urban sketching is experiencing time and again how differently we perceive the same environment and interpret it through drawing. At the same time, drawing allows me to be fully present in the moment and in touch with myself.”
