There's not much more to explain: Madsen are a brand in their own right.

The band of the eponymous brothers Sascha, Johannes and Sebastian with their childhood friend Niko Maurer has been one of the most successful live & rock acts in the country for almost 20 years. It wouldn't be easy to find a person interested in rock music who hasn't seen Madsen live at least once in the last 19 years. You could say that festivals are simply part of the band's quintessence.

But if you only reduce Madsen to their live entertainment qualities, you are far from doing the band justice: their upcoming ninth studio album "Hollywood" in particular underpins the band's status as one of the most important local rock bands, also on record. With songs full of empathy, love, power and a clear edge, Madsen prove on "Hollywood" that German-language guitar music is anything but trivial. Whether political statements or big feelings that sometimes make use of kitsch of the good kind - Madsen songs ignite emotions and quickly feel like new favorite songs.

What's more, and this is particularly important to mention in this day and age: The family-run Madsen company is a zone where everyone should feel comfortable and where disrespectful and inappropriate behavior is not tolerated. Only a few bands have managed not to let themselves be spoiled by the often cold-blooded music business and remain true to their character. Regardless of whether they were equipped with the biggest major budgets or, as of now, are founding their own label "Goodbye Logik Records" for the new album - Madsen is a family affair, and we can all join in. You have to imitate this fabulous band from Wendland first!

"Hollywood", the new and ninth studio album by Madsen, will be released on August 18, 2023 via the band's own label Goodbye Logik Records, distributed by The Orchard and Indigo. The album will be released as a limited edition including a bonus 7" vinyl single with two more new songs, a songbook, a backstage pass with access to the complete concert film of the "15 Years Madsen" concert in the Hamburg Sporthalle from 2019, as well as other extras. Various vinyl versions, CD and MC of "Hollywood" are also available. All sound carriers are available directly from the band's store at www.madsenmerch.de

On the headline tour for the new album in the fall, the band will be playing in selected cities in Germany and Austria. The tour will conclude on December 21, 2023 in Hamburg.
