with the MODINA artists: Dancing in the Digital Age: Navigating Intersections

In the organizer's words:

The fusion of dance and technology can create new forms of storytelling, evoke stronger emotional responses, and offer personalized experiences that adapt to audience feedback in real-time. By incorporating AI and innovative digital tools, performances become more immersive and engaging, allowing the audience to participate in ways that were previously unimaginable.
The artist talk delves into the intersection of dance and digital technology, exploring several layers of this interdisciplinary encounter.
We are interested in how digital innovation in dance is impacting the creative process both for dance artists and tech experts - how they work together effectively and how these processes might be reshaping the audience experience.

In conversation with the MODINA resident artists we will explore the interconnectedness of artistic and technological aspects in their work and what kind of tensions or complementarities emerge in their overlapping. How do they bridge the gap between artistic vision and technical language? What strategies do they use to ensure smooth collaboration?
The conversation highlights performances developed within the framework of the EU Project MODINA(https://modina.eu/) as well as the previous works of our panel guests. Through these examples, we aim to illustrate how the evolving collaboration between dance artists and technologists is not only enhancing the art form itself but also revolutionizing how audiences perceive and interact with live performance.

Participants: John Sullivan, Sarah Fdili Alaoui, Simona Deaconescu, Grigore Burloiu, Célia Bétourné, Max Levy; moderated by Ivana Druzetic-Vogel and Charlotte Triebus.
